Naudojimas
Neveikiamosios rūšies veiksmažodis naudojamas kai mes nežinome arba nėra svarbu kas atlieka veiksmą.
Pavyzdys: | English is spoken by politicians from all over the world. |
‘by’ vartojamas, kai norima pasakyti, kas atliko veiksmą.

Formavimas.
Neveikiamosios rūšies veiksmažodis yra veiksmažodžio ‘to be’ (is, are, was, were, have been) forma plius būtojo laiko dalyvis (pvz., spoken, written).

paprastasis esamasis laikas: | Marie teaches French in Germany. | French is taught in Germany. |
esamasis atliktinis: | The writer has sold a million books. | A million books have been sold. |
paprastojo būtojo laiko sakinys | They translated the text yesterday. | The text was translated yesterday. |
‘will’-ateitis: | The landlady will serve breakfast at 7.00. | Breakfast will be served at 7.00. |
Naudojimas
Neveikiamąją rūšį naudojame šnekamojoje ir rašomojoje kalboje, bet ji dažniau naudojama rašomojoje kalboje, ypač naujienų pranešimuose, knygose, apibūdinant pramonės procesus, įspėjimuose ir ženkluose.
